![]() | EMRF, the European Magnetic Resonance Forum, is responsible for a plethora of scientific publications teaching material, proceedings of conferences, recommendations for the clinical use of magnetic resonance imaging. The most successful publication of the Foundation is EMRF's basic textbook on magnetic resonance imaging: "Magnetic Resonance in Medicine". During the last 25 years, five editions of the original English book were produced, and translations are available all over the world. A large number of conference proceedings were issued either as special issues of learned journals or as books. An MR dictionary and an overview of indications for MR imaging were published in German. More than 12,000 copies of the teaching software "MR Image Expert" have been distributed worldwide. The program simulates MR examinations. Originally, the software was developed by Peter A. Rinck and Geir Torheim as a teaching aid for EMRF's courses, but very soon was also used for research and diagnostic purposes.
